Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be playable on Windows PCs through the Xbox app from November 18, 2026, Capcom announced on Xbox Wire. The role-playing game is already sold on Xbox Series X|S, and the PC version will support Xbox Play Anywhere.

What was announced

  • New platform: Xbox on PC, including Windows 11 PCs and compatible handheld devices, from November 18, 2026.
  • Play Anywhere: people who own the game on Xbox Series X|S get the PC version at no extra cost. Capcom says progress, add-on content and achievements follow the player between devices.
  • Post-game content: after updating and loading a save that has finished the main story, players can fight a harder version of the final boss. Beating it makes “Royal” variants of most monsters start appearing around the map, including tougher Royal versions of invasive monsters and elder dragons.
  • Story DLC: Side Story: Rudy, which covers the backstory of the Palico companion Rudy, is available now. It is bundled with the Deluxe Edition, the Premium Deluxe Edition and the Deluxe Kit.
  • Older games on trial: the original Monster Hunter Stories and its sequel, Wings of Ruin, join Xbox Free Play Days from October 22 to October 25, 2026, as three-hour trials that do not require Game Pass.

Context

Monster Hunter Stories is Capcom’s turn-based spin-off from its hunting-action series: instead of slaying monsters, players act as “Riders” who hatch, raise and fight alongside them. The spin-off series turned ten on October 8. In the third game, the plot follows rival royal heirs from two nations and a pair of twin Rathalos hatched from a single egg.

A free trial of the third game is already on Xbox Series X|S, and Capcom says progress from it carries over to the full game.

What we don’t know yet

The Xbox Wire post does not give a PC price or say whether the Windows release brings any technical changes, such as graphics options. CritFrame will update this story if Capcom shares those details.
