The headline car is Xiaomi’s electric Vision Gran Turismo concept. Sony quotes simulated results of a 0.29 drag coefficient, a -1.2 downforce figure and a 4.1 rating for aerodynamic efficiency. Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi said he was “truly amazed” that Xiaomi had balanced low drag against high downforce.

The Civic Si Group A is modelled on the Mugen Motul Civic that took the overall class win in the 1987 All-Japan Touring Car Championship, according to the post. At the other end of the spectrum, the list also includes a family minivan and Citroën’s tiny 2 CV.

The Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense

The second announcement is hardware. The DualSense Wireless Controller – Gran Turismo Limited Edition marks 30 years of the series with racing stripes, motorsport-style graphics and a textured front plate made to look like carbon fibre.

In the US, direct pre-orders run through direct.playstation.com from 10:00am ET. In Europe, PlayStation’s own store takes direct orders in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

What we don’t know yet

The post covers only Part 1 of Spec IV and doesn’t say when the next part arrives or what it includes. It also lists no Korean price or Korean pre-order date for the controller.
