This page tracks what is live right now in the naval games we follow: the current update or season, the dates that matter, and the biggest changes. Every row comes from the developer’s own post, linked in the last column. We check the rows again each week, remove events that have ended and add new ones, so use the “last updated” date at the top as the reference point.

World of Warships
Update 15.9 went live on October 7 on the North America server. Its headline is Pacific Front, a strategy event built on the same core as the earlier Dunkirk 1940 event: you assemble a fleet of units, pick one operation at a time and fight through its stages toward a final target. Progress Tokens earned along the way move you up a reward track that ends with the U.S. destroyer Monaghan. Wargaming’s notes say the event can also be played in a browser, not only in the game client.
Other dated items in the same update, all on North America server dates:
| Event | Dates | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween Treats Event Pass | Running now, until Nov 4 (began Oct 7) | Two progression lines with Halloween containers, Infernal permanent camouflages and the British battleship Warspite |
| Uncharted Seas Armory event | Running now, until Nov 4 (began Oct 14) | Random Doubloon bundles that award Seafarer Tokens for two new ships |
| Black Friday | Under way since Oct 28, until Dec 2 | Four new Black Friday ships, each with an experimental counter of enemies destroyed |
| Black Friday Squadron | Under way since Oct 28, until Jan 2 | Combat missions for owning both the standard and Black Friday version of a ship |
Update 15.10 is the next one. Wargaming’s October 15 preview lists the Horror From the Abyss PvE operation set in the Bermuda Triangle, Early Access for a line of torpedo-focused European cruisers, and an overhaul of the battle information screens, while warning that features may change or be cut before release. The 15.9 notes also say thunderstorms are planned for the Ocean map in 15.10.
Sea of Thieves
Season 21 started on September 17. Rare says the season has no separate headline Acts, so its monthly updates focus on bug fixes, extra events and Custom Seas improvements. Release 3.9.1 on October 22 restored Golden Sands Outpost as a Legendary Location for Custom Seas and added new custom-session commands such as switching on a Fort of the Damned.
The last items on Rare’s October schedule are under way now: the Festival of the Damned runs from October 27 to November 3, and a Pirate Emporium Halloween sale with discounts of up to 30% runs from October 28 to November 3.
Skull and Bones
With maintenance on October 19, Ubisoft extended Year 3 Season 2 by two weeks, saying it is preparing changes for the next season and will share details closer to that launch. The same maintenance removed ammunition as an item: weapons no longer need ammo in cargo or the warehouse. Leftover ammunition was converted to Silver, and owned ammo crate blueprints were refunded at their store price, delivered by in-game mail with no expiry. Blackwood also gained a weekly exchange of 100 Abyssal Essence for 1,000 Gildmarks, capped at 15 exchanges per week.
Ship of the Line
Ship of the Line released its Naval Career mode on October 14 and expanded it on October 18 with real-time navigation, fleet detection and pursuit, and the Ironclad Age (1866-1913), where wars such as the Franco-Prussian and Spanish-American conflicts are simulated and can end differently. The same update added 107 ship models and razee conversions that turn ships of the line into heavy frigates. Build notes on October 25 improved ship shadows and added a record of a fallen captain’s last battle for their successor. Then on October 27 came the Grand Naval Overhaul: every one of the 529 ships got reworked textures, 19 more ports bring the map to 101, cannon fire, splashes and explosions were redone, and Career Mode nations at war now gather main battle fleets, which nearby squadrons can reinforce up to 24 ships, and send out patrols.
Naval Action
Naval Action’s main news this month is for veterans: on October 21, Bermuda Computer Club opened its Nostalgia 2021 beta branch to all players on Steam, without the access code it used to require.
How we build this page
We list only what developers have published on their own sites or official Steam pages, and we leave out games connected to our operator’s business, including direct competitors. Dates are the developer’s own, given as calendar dates; World of Warships dates are those listed for the North America server. Store links point to the PC versions on Steam, so check each developer’s site for console details.
